L470 fishfinder depth capabilities

What is the maximum bottom depth reading I can expect from a Raymarine L470.

The L470 has a potential range of 2500' feet. In salt water you can expect an average maximum range of 1000 to 1500 feet(305 meters to 457 meters). Maximum depth readings are affected by a number of factors. Vessel speed, water turbulence(air bubbles across the transducer face)water density, sea water temperature and engine noise can affect maximum depth readings. An improperly installed transducer will also reduce fishfinder performance.

For deep water performance the 50KHz frequency(a longer wavelength) is better for penetrating deeper water.
