LightHouse II Release 14 - Additional New Features


C-MAP Easy Routing - Automatic Route Generation

New to Lighthouse II R14 is Easy Routing support for C-MAP by Jeppesen.

Easy Routing uses detailed chart data and user vessel information to automatically generate the shortest, safest route between 2 points that are less than 100nm apart.

This feature requires a compatible MFD loaded with C-MAP's premium cartography C-MAP 4D MAX+. The minimum safe draft, beam* and vessel height* also need to be configured in vessel settings.

Automatic Route Generation for Navionics cartography has been supported since LightHouse II R11 and continues to compatible with Navionics+, Navionics Platinum and Platinum+

*Vessel beam and height are required for C-MAP by Jeppesen Easy Routing only. Not required for Navionics Autorouting

  • Digitally filters out water column noise above and beyond automatic settings
  • Excellent reduction of top-water aeration
  • Efficiently minimizes the presence of dense thermoclines to reveal targets throughout
  • Default Auto Setting configured to filter approximately upper 20% of Water Column
 

Aeration and thermoclines are minimized, while still allowing the true fish targets to be revealed

 

Auto Adjust Gain and Intensity Sonar Controls

Allows users to adjust the sonar’s sensitivity and saturation without disabling important noise filters.

Manual controls are still available for transducer diagnostics and those users who prefer to tune their sonar without any additional filtering

Dual Channel Ping Mode for CP570

  • Enables selection of the sonar’s ping rate vs. acceptable interference
  • 3 unique modes of Sonar Channel Pinging*:
    • Automatic (Default)
      • Selects the best mode to maximize ping rate, thus minimizing interference
      • Independent when selected ranges are within 50% of each other, Simultaneous when difference is greater than 50%
       
    • Independent
      • Both channels ping as if the other doesn’t exist
      • Maximum ping rate, but greater chance of interference
       
    • Simultaneous
      • Both channels ping at the same time
      • Reduced ping rate based on deepest range setting, but reduced chance of interference
